1. Scope

This policy explains what personal information IDLhost.com collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this website and the hosting, domain and support services we provide.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. Your name, business name, billing address and email address when you open an account or contact us, plus whatever you include in a support ticket. Payment details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.

Information from using the service. Server and web logs containing IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs and user agents. Support tickets and correspondence. Records of invoices and payments.

Domain registration information. Registries require registrant contact details. Where WHOIS privacy is available and enabled, your details are shielded from the public record but still held by the registry.

3. Why we use it

  • To provide, maintain and support the services you have bought
  • To invoice you and take payment
  • To contact you about your account, renewals, maintenance and outages
  • To investigate abuse, security incidents and technical faults
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations

4. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade mailing lists. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. Who we share it with

Only where necessary to run the service: our payment processor, domain registries and registrars for domains you register through us, and our data centre and infrastructure providers. Each receives the minimum needed to do its job.

We may disclose information where required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the security of our systems and customers.

6. Cookies

This marketing website does not set tracking or advertising cookies and carries no third-party analytics.

The billing area and control panels (WHMCS, cPanel and webmail) set functional cookies that are required to keep you logged in. These are necessary for those systems to work.

7. How long we keep it

Account and billing records are retained while your account is active and afterwards for as long as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Support tickets are kept so we have a history of your account.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, restricted administrative access, monitoring and regular patching to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will tell you promptly if an incident affects your data.

9. Your choices

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can opt out of non-essential email at any time; we will still need to send you service and billing notices.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first.

10. Children

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced through the billing area or by email.

12. Contact
